Radiology Medical Group and Open Air MRI centers, two of the leading interventional radiology and medical imaging groups in San Diego, have recently merged. The new company Imaging Healthcare Specialists (IHS) is now the largest provider of out-patient imaging services in San Diego County. The Interventional Radiologists at RMG are subspecialists who use diagnostic imaging in order to perform minimally invasive therapeutic procedures. RMG has served the San Diego community since 1917. The tradition and history of the RMG Interventional Radiology practice in San Diego includes:

• One of the first angiographers in U.S. private practice-1966.
  
  
• RMG Interventional Radiologists were the first to develop stereotactic breast biopsy in San Diego in 1994. This is a non-surgical, and non-deforming way to diagnose breast cancer.

Open Air MRI Centers was created by area radiologists to bring this unique technology to the San Diego area. Open Air first brought MRI technology to San Diego County in 1984. We are the area's largest provider of Open MRI tehnology and CT services. All of facilities are staffed with a physician on-site. Exam protocols are customized based on reveiw of pertinent studies and medical history prior to scanning. We will consult with your physician as needed during your examination. All of our radiologists are Board-Certified with subspecialty training in MRI and CT interpretation.
